Ibiza is the ideal playground for hedonists and lovers of electronic music and the dance floor. Since the 1970s, the Spanish Balearic island has hosted legendary performances by the world’s most influential and talented DJs. Since then, dozens of venues of all shapes and sizes have sprung up to satisfy an insatiable public of clubbers.
Ibiza’s image is one of huge superclubs with dance floors filled with thousands of people swaying to wild rhythms, under surreal lighting effects. This image is certainly not false, as it represents a very important aspect of the island’s tourist offering. That said, you should know that beyond the 5,000+ capacity venues, there is also a wide range of small underground clubs offering different possibilities to those of the big clubs.
That said, today we’re going to tell you about the 5 best nightclubs in Ibiza to make the most of your stay in the dance music paradise. Here’s our selection.
1. Ushuaïa Ibiza, one of the best outdoor clubs
If you think it’s a shame to spend your time on a Mediterranean island inside a club, Ushuaïa is the place for you. Ibiza’s first open-air club is not only an excellent open-air club, it’s also one of the best on the island. The club has carved out a place for itself in the Ibiza ecosystem by inviting the world’s biggest DJs (such as Armin Van) to play during the day, allowing party-goers to start the party early.
Ushuaïa was opened in 2012. It’s open almost 24 hours a day. It’s an Instagrameur’s dream with beautiful, comfortable Balinese beds and giant screens. If you’ve never been to one of the island’s nightclubs, Ushuaïa is the perfect match for your idea of Ibiza clubs. It’s located on the Playa D’En Bossa beach. It costs 10 euros to get there by cab from Ibiza town. Entrance tickets range from 30 to 70 euros.
2. Pacha Ibiza, a mythical place
Ibiza’s old faithful and emblematic nightclub. First established on the beach at Sitges in Catalonia in 1967, arrived in Ibiza in 1973. The nightclub remains open all year round and currently hosts Sarah Main, a popular Australian DJ. Other well-known DJs such as Peter Tong and David Morales are also frequent visitors.
But be warned, this place is very expensive – it’s the most expensive club on the island, with €70 entrances and €15 beers. If you’re looking for a VIP-style club, look no further than Pacha. It’s a must to go there to be seen.
Funky room, hip-hop, electronic music, music from the 80s and 90s. Pacha has everything to delight your ears. There’s even a terrace to escape the frenzy for a moment. Pacha Ibiza is a 10-minute walk from Ibiza town. Entrance fees range from 30 euros to 90 euros.
3. Privilege Ibiza, one of the island’s best nightclubs
The Privilege Ibiza nightclub is reputed to be the biggest nightclub in the world, where many international celebrities such as P. Diddy, Jade Jagger and Madonna have played. This nightclub is located between San Antonio and Ibiza Town.
Other unique features of the Privilege nightclub include its 25-meter-high ceiling, high windows offering picturesque views of the island, and a swimming pool. The space here is simply magical. The club hosts all-night parties during the summer season, as well as special weekly events.
Techno and house music are in the spotlight, but it’s the open-air parties, where the music still echoes at sunrise, that attract people every day. It costs 10 euros to get there from Ibiza town. Admission varies from 30 to 50 euros, depending on the artist playing.
4. Hï Ibiza has top resident DJs for partying in Ibiza
Hï Ibiza is the newest club on the list. The club used to be called Space, but that’s no longer the case. After the legendary Space club closed in 2016, the establishment was renovated and reopened as Hï Ibiza. While it’s the newest on the list, it’s also, unsurprisingly, the most modern, with arguably the best sound systems and light shows on the island.
True to its reputation as a home for top-notch artists, Hï has recently teamed up with the likes of David Guetta, Black Coffee, The Martinez Brothers, Fisher and the Glitterbox and Afterlife brands to ensure that the return of live music in 2021 is as exceptional as possible. Now, the club is more plush, a little more upscale, but it retains its crazy spirit. Hï Ibiza was voted best nightclub in the world in 2018!
This Ibiza nightclub is located in Playa d’en Bossa, on the outskirts of Ibiza town near the airport. It’s big on the electronic scene, with world-famous names playing every night in high season. Don’t expect to remember it the next day!
5. Amnesia Ibiza, one of Ibiza’s top clubs
Another former official “best club in the world”, the aptly named Amnesia doesn’t get going until around midnight, but it goes on until dawn, so take your time, have an aperitif with friends at sunset, have dinner, then head to Amnesia!
During the summer months, the club attracts a large number of international tourists. It can accommodate up to 4,000 people! You’ll have the chance to hear renowned DJs such as Paul Van Dyk and Deadmau5 mix. The world-famous Cream parties take place on Thursday evenings, so get your credit cards ready for a great time.
Expect plenty of foam and laser parties, and even Cristiano Ronaldo has made an appearance. The establishment is located in the Poligono de Montecristo, and entrance prices range from 30 to 60 euros.
