Golf International de Saint-Fran\u00e7ois is the better-known of the two. And with good reason: it’s an 18-hole course accessible to beginners and advanced players alike. <\/p>\n\n

The setting is absolutely magical, as you’ll be playing by the sea!<\/p>\n\n

Le Golf is ideally located in downtown Saint-Fran\u00e7ois, right next to the marina.<\/p>\n\n

So you can easily go from a morning of golf to an afternoon of relaxation on the beach at Saint-Fran\u00e7ois.<\/p>\n\n

The golf course itself is beautiful and extremely well landscaped. It was designed by renowned American architect Robert Trent John Senior. <\/p>\n\n

For the record, Robert Trent was a golfer himself, but ill health prevented him from pursuing his dream of becoming a professional golfer. So he turned to architecture, and became the benchmark for golf course design. <\/p>\n\n

We owe him the Golf de la Cara\u00efbe Fran\u00e7aise Outre-Mer de Saint-Fran\u00e7ois, which he designed in 1978 (as well as the Golf de la Martinique created in 1976).<\/p>\n\n
