The low season is an ideal time for potential holidaymakers to find special offers on Saint Barts.<\/p>\n\n

The slowest period starts in April and is the ideal time to get interesting discounts.<\/p>\n\n

So why is the low season of St Barts a good time to visit? You\u2019ll find many special offers on Saint Barts with cheaper accommodation, especially in villas due to lower demand. Flights are also generally cheaper, and you can also find discounts on shopping, restaurants<\/a> and car rentals. <\/p>\n\n

The rich and famous who flock to the island are more likely to visit during high season, but it\u2019s entirely possible that you\u2019ll see a recognizable face even in low season, so keep your wits about you.<\/p>\n\n

The low season is no slack period for events at St Barts<\/a>. There\u2019s the Transat AG2R<\/em>, a transatlantic sailing race that finishes on the island. Take a good vantage point and watch the boats come in! <\/p>\n\n

For 13 days in early August, the island hops to the sound of the St Barts<\/a> Summer Sessions <\/em> electro-rock music festival, featuring 17 venues and over 40 artists. Later in August, SBJam<\/em> sees DJs and artists from all over the Caribbean perform on the Gustavia quay. <\/p>\n\n

If these St Barts<\/a> events don\u2019t appeal to you, there are plenty of choices for the rest of your time. There are local companies that will take you and your family on a diving trip, for example. Alternatively, you can hire a boat and explore, snorkel, rent a windsurfer or even take a submarine tour! <\/p>\n\n

If all this sounds a little too active, go shopping in the high-end boutiques or simply relax on the beach in the Caribbean sunshine. You can spend relaxing afternoons and evenings in the local bars with a fruity cocktail, or rent a car and explore the island\u2019s windy roads \u2013 you\u2019re sure to come across a beachside restaurant or quiet cove. <\/p>\n\n

The only drawback to the low season at St Barts is that some restaurants and stores close for a month or so between August and September.<\/p>\n\n
